Welcome to the Human Resources Webpage

The Centralia School District Human Resources Department welcomes you. For those of you seeking employment with our school district or those who are already employed by us, this is the place to start. We are constantly seeking talented individuals who may be qualified to work in either our certificated or classified ranks. Our schools are among the best in California and the nation due to the exceptional and dedicated staff members who work with our students every day. Our department's goal has been extended to this site which is to provide the highest level of support to our employees so that they may do their best for our students and their families. Our Promise starts here.....

About Centralia

The Centralia School District consists of eight K-6 elementary schools with a diverse ethnic and socio-economic student population. Approximately 4700 students are currently enrolled. The District operates eight Child Care Centers, three State Preschool Programs and a Neighborhood Resource Center. A variety of state and federal grants provide our students with extensive counseling, health and social services. Students experience a comprehensive curriculum. Subjects are not taught in isolation, but rather integrated into activity-based instruction, supported by a consistent homework policy. Multimedia centers, computer labs, and teacher computer stations bring together the latest in technology. Programs that meet the special needs of students include the Resource Specialist Program, Gifted and Talented Education Program, and the English Language Program that supports second language learners. Our highly successful programs for the hearing impaired and learning and communicatively handicapped children are structured to provide learning experiences that allow them to function successfully in a regular education setting to the maximum extent appropriate. The District aggressively pursues grants for supplemental funding to expand programs and capabilities.
