The Centralia School District makes every effort to be accountable to its various communities. The District has Academic Standards in place for every grade level and a "School Accountability Report Card" is published each year for every school. As required for all California public school students grades 2-11, our students take the SAT 9 test, the State's standardized test of basic skills. Parents receive their children's test scores and Districtwide and school-by-school results are made public. The District has several methods of measuring student achievement and information is shared with parents regarding their children's progress on a continuing basis. Some of the tools used are standardized tests, publishers' textbook tests, teacher developed tests and activities, and teacher observation. Parents receive three report cards during the school year. The District has used staff development time to ensure that all teachers are using a consistent system of assessment.
